Admission Requirements

Undergraduate (UTME & Direct Entry)
UTME:
  • Five ‘O’ level credits including English, Mathematics, Economics.
  • Plus one credit from: Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography, or Statistics.

Direct Entry:
  • At least two ‘A’ level passes (Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, or Geography).
  • Plus three ‘O’ level passes including English and Mathematics.
Postgraduate (PGD, M.Sc., Ph.D.)
General Policy:
  • Graduates of COOU or recognized universities, or holders of relevant professional qualifications.
  • Non-discipline first degree holders may enter via PGD.

Ph.D. Specific:
  • Master’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.5 (on 5-point scale).
  • Lower CGPA may require Masters/Ph.D. combined program enrollment.

Deferment/Transfers: Admission deferment possible under specific conditions. Degree transfers subject to approval from both departments and space availability.
